City of Trees

Sacramento is known as the City of Trees and should have an educational museum to honor the namesake. Atrium is a museum that offers interactive educational programs aimed towards elementary school students currently learning about ecosystems and biology.

Sustainability

In response to Sacramento’s urban forest conservation efforts and the museum’s theme, the design prioritized sustainability. This included eco-friendly choices for marketing materials and suggestions for LEED certified products.

Materials

All paper used at Atrium is either FSC-certified or 100% recycled. The business card features a sandwiched layer of seed paper filled with native California wildflowers.

Plein Air Wine + Paint Bar

Paint and Sip

Plein Air is a bar located in Atrium. The concept is a rooftop bar surrounded by nature to help inspire painters to find their inner Claude Monet. Plein Air combines the feel of an outdoor tasting room and a nature park. For the kids, small easels are provided for finger painting.
